When I was younger, I had a brain injury due to a freak sports accident, and suffered from both retrograde amnesia as well as anterograde amnesia, particularly in short-term memory tasks. Uh, well, in short, it sucked. The anterograde is easier to explain, it'd be like my short term memory would just reset.
