If she drives straight, keep the cross caster and dial each arm back a turn (if possible) To try and even it out, only dial back the high side. You are shooting for 4.5-5*. At 5.5* average caster.. Really the only time I'm in 4H is during deep snow winter driving so really no big articulation rock crawling. I have never had vibration in 4H. Not sure if it's in my head, but I always felt my jeep's steering was better after I lifted it and added the longer LCA's.
Web15 giu 2024 · I have the Metalcloak 2.5" lift and caster at 7.5 degree. I had some wobbling with a caster of 6 degree, now it feels much better. There is no noticeable vibration at 50mph in 4H. Considering that the JL's driveshaft is not turning at all in 2H (it is disconnected on both sides), would you think this amount of caster is an issue? You want to get your caster somewhere in the 5.2 - 5.5* mark and the wandering should go away on a 12.50 or 13.50 tire. Raising the track bar and drag link at the axle will help the feel of the steering tremendously. While adding the wheel spacers may have accentuated the low caster issue, it is the low caster that is the true cause of the flighty steering.
